At the top of everything, One Direction: six billion songs as a group, eleven as solo artists — the defining case of this volume and perhaps of the entire history of boy bands. What it's about How You Like That is a resilience anthem. The song opens with a confession of total collapse   "Fell through the  oor into the underground"   and builds toward a triumphant resurrection. This isn't a victim becomes hero story: it's the story of someone who already knows, even mid fall, that she'll get back up. The rhetorical question in the chorus   How you like that?   is addressed to everyone who bet against them. Not anger. A satis ed observation. Look at me now.
