At the top of everything, One Direction: six billion songs as a group, eleven as solo artists — the defining case of this volume and perhaps of the entire history of boy bands. Track 8 - The Band's Profiles Band Origins Formed in 2013 by the label Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) under the vision of producer and founder Bang Si hyuk. Crucially, unlike traditional boy band archetypes, the members of BTS are profoundly involved in the actual songwriting and production of their tracks a de ning characteristic that sets them apart in the K  pop landscape and  rmly positions them as the vanguard of the modern hybrid model. Their global fandom the ARMY is widely recognized as one of the most organized, active, and powerful communities in entertainment history. Members (Classic Lineup) RM (rap, leader), Jin (vocals), Suga (rap), J Hope (rap, dance), Jimin (vocals, dance), V (vocals), Jungkook (vocals, dance). Lineup Changes Between 2022 and 2024, all seven members ful lled their mandatory South Korean military service at staggered intervals, leading to an o cial pause in group activities. Jin was the  rst to complete his service in 2024. While the group was widely expected to return as a full unit by 2025, they currently remain "on hiatus". Activity 2013 present.
