The eyes and the bow

This exercise helps the pupil to know if his bow is straight: the teacher and the child hold their bows at eye level and look at each other through the space between the stick and the hair, and then move their bows towards each other without losing eye contact. The exercise should be repeated with the instrument, in the Pan-da exercise.

Winking, horns and snail tentacles

Three coordination exercises:

  • Winking one eye, then the other
  • Controlling the bow
  • The fingers make the shape of horns or a snail’s tentacles

The telescope

The bow is held beside the head and used as a telescope
This is a good way of making make sure that the thumb is rounded.
