The worm and the bow
The fingers run up to the tip of the bow, the bow is turned round and the fingers run down again, without coming off the stick. This is exercise for finger flexibility that also helps to keep the fingers on the bow.

Very often children do not know how to tell the time. If there is a clock in the classroom they can be taught easily: when the bow is on the half hour its tip must be pointing down.
The bow is held in the left hand. The fingers and the wrist, in the correct position, move forwards and backwards without the fingers coming off the stick. This is particularly useful for making the child understand that the wrist moves before the fingers.
