How and where to put the instrument after practise at home
- In the corner of a room with the bridge towards the wall, not near to a radiator, or somewhere cold during the winter.
- On its side, on the top of a wardrobe.
- Not just propped against a chair (it should lean on the scroll, not the body).
- The hair of the bow must be slackened.
As parents are very absent-minded, everything about the maintenance and care of the instrument must be explained in detail, especially that, to be on the safe side, the child should practise in a room with a carpet.
