The fir tree (1)

The arms hang down as if they were the branches of a fir tree full of snow.
This is an example of how sturdy a tree trunk (the body) can be.

The arms go back to the right playing position, just as if the ends of the branches could bend round to hug the cello.
This is an example of the suppleness of the branches (the arms).

Pick up the bow

The pupil picks his bow up on the right and moves it to his left.
The bow must be held in the right way, with the thumb under the frog.
The pupil picks up his bow and puts it on his head.
The bow must be picked up in the right way, and does a lightening conductor.
