The bow is held with the index finger, and the string is plucked with the middle and ring fingers, by almost pulling the string.
This is a good method for learning to place one finger on each string. Care should be taken when changing strings (string I, string IV) not to move the elbow. X should be studied up to the 4th position, descending semitone by semitone, and ascending again.
