Giornalista: La prossima vendemmia sarà buona?
Coltivatore: Beh, finora non abbiamo avuto problemi gravi, eccetto per le zone colpite dalla grandine a luglio. Fino ad adesso abbiamo dovuto combattere contro l'oidio causato dalla pioggia e dall'umidità di giugno e luglio. Fortunatamente non abbiamo visto molta peronospora.
Veramente il tempo è stato abbastanza buono. Però incomincio a preoccuparmi per la temperatura fresca durante il giorno. L'uva non matura così in fretta come dovrebbe e sta prendendo colore lentamente. I grappoli sono un po' irregolari per forma e sviluppo. Spero che incominci oggi un'ondata di caldo!

Journalist: Is the next vintage going to be a good one?
Grower: Well, so far there haven't been any major problems, except in the areas that got hit by hail in July. Up 'til now, we've been fighting with powdery mildew due to the rain and humidity that we had in June and July. Luckily, we haven't seen much downy mildew.
Actually, the weather's been pretty good. I'm getting a bit concerned about the cool daytime temperatures though. The grapes aren't ripening as quickly as they should. The color change is happening very slowly and the bunches are a bit irregular in size and development. I'm hoping for a heat wave starting today!
