The stone treasure chest, the castle, now houses, among other presences and exhibitions, the “Permanent Center for Research and Documentation on the DOC”, which has become a national reference point for those who wish to know what singular and important events have occurred in the history behind the convivial clinking of wine glasses, particularly that of the precious wine of Monferrato.
The Center is a real gold mine, practically the Library of Alexandria for wine enthusiasts. Every shelf is full of oenological literary wonders, and even the bottles on display receive VIP treatment, displayed on wine racks created ad hoc by famous artists who gift the center with precious, original creativity worthy of the wine (trust us, they are really worth a look...). It is not so difficult to understand why the Center was recognised in 2022 as a “Heritage of Historical Interest” by the Ministry of Culture.
