Descrizione
This book is not a treatise on the art of singing and it doesn’t deal with physiology and pathology, already discussed by scholars and phoniatrics experts. Instead, it aims to be a practical tool for vocal technique: it is divided into 11 lessons and 23 exercises, designed to help who wants to pursue a career in opera singing. The conception of these exercises, the feelings and the experiences that emerge through the text are the result of the constant and personal research of a tenor, who taught for many years.
Certainly this book cannot substitute a teacher but, together with him/her, it can help to overcome difficulties (that sometimes can be overwhelming) in achieving good vocal technique.
The intense work of an opera singer cannot be simplified into 11 lessons, but they can be a good start and… “well begun is half done”.
We will deal with the essential elements (listed in order of importance), their difficulties and the ways to overcome them, using feelings, metaphors and technical terms.
