Il volume contiene partiture e file audio per ogni singolo strumento; inoltre contiene anche la partitura completa per l'insegnante.
Questo volume è parte di una raccolta che vuole fornire un supporto e un incentivo alla pratica strumentale d’insieme per gli studenti sin dal loro esordio nel percorso strumentale, a partire dagli ultimi anni della scuola primaria, ma certamente e più compiutamente nella fascia della scuola secondaria di primo grado. Il coinvolgimento degli allievi in queste esperienze è gratificante e motivante, ma anche importante per sviluppare capacità come l’ascolto reciproco, l’assimilazione della pulsazione, del metro e il potenziamento del controllo dinamico.
I brani sono stati oggetto di ampie sperimentazioni in contesti differenti, nelle fasi di avviamento di esperienze d’insieme, ma anche come consolidamento della pratica d’insieme per il raggiungimento di obiettivi superiori.
Il contenuto di questo volume è compost da due brani:
Brano 1: Disclapping Music
Si suggerisce di proporre questo brano agli allievi nelle fasi iniziali delle esperienze di insieme, perché il suo obiettivo principale è l’avvicinamento progressivo alla lettura, e contemporaneamente aiutare i giovani musicisti a perseguire sicurezza individuale, capacità di ascolto e controllo della propria esecuzione in relazione agli altri esecutori La composizione propone un modulo, non metrico, di 12 unità (8 suoni e 4 pause), ispirato a Clapping Music di Steve Reich, reinventato melodicamente ed armonicamente in più sezioni. La rappresentazione delle note e delle pause con pallini di dimensioni differenti nella battuta iniziale vuole favorire l’apprendimento orale e facilitando l’orientamento dell’allievo verso i suoni non intonati percussivi. La libertà di utilizzare modularmente le diverse sezioni rende il brano flessibile alle esigenze dell’insegnante in funzione del gruppo strumentale con il quale si troverà ad operare (es. completo A-B-C-D-E-F-G, oppure A-B-C-G, più semplicemente B-C-G, o ancora B-C-F-G, ecc.).
Brano 2: Cluck Old Hen
L’obiettivo di questo medley è far conoscere alcune delle tipiche sonorità nordamericane e consentire varie sperimentazioni e tecniche esecutive.
È articolato in due macrosezioni che offrono spunti didattici partendo dalle caratteristiche di questi repertori e possono essere suonate indipendentemente l’una dall’altra.
Macrosezione 1: intro, A parte pentatonica e, B, parte tonale, è interamente dedicata all’inno New Britain, più noto come Amazing Grace dall’incipit del testo cantato.
Macrosezione 2: C brano in modo misolidio, transizione, D brano pentatonico, accomunati da un tempo metronomico molto veloce.

This volume is part of a collection that wants to support and encourage ensemble music for students since their debut in the instrumental path, from the last years of Primary school, but certainly and in a more fully way form the middle school years. The involvement of students in these experiences is rewarding and motivating, but is also important for developing skills such as listening to each other, beat assimilation, the meter, and the improvement of dynamic control.
The pieces have been the subject of extensive experimentation in different contexts, in the phases of start-up of ensemble experiences, but also as a consolidation of the overall practice for the achievement of higher objectives.
In this volume you can find two compositions:
Composition 1: Disclapping Music
This piece has been composed for students in the initial stages of their musical experiences, because its main objective is the progressive approach to reading and, in the meantime, it helps these young musicians to pursue individual confidence, listening skills and control of their performance in relation to the other performers The composition is developed from a non-metric pattern of 12 units (8 sounds and 4 rests) inspired after Clapping Music by Steve Reich, re-invented melodically and harmonically in several sections.
The representation of the notes and rests with dots of different sizes in the initial measure is intended to promote oral learning and facilitate the orientation of the student towards non-percussive sounds.
The use of the different sections in a modular way makes the piece flexible to the needs of the teacher and the instrumental group with which he is working. (e.g. complete A-B-C-D-E-F-G, or A-B-C-G, more simply B-C-G, or B-C-F-G ...).
Composition 2: Cluck Old Hen
The main objective of this medley is to explore some of the American sonorities. The piece is divided into two macro sections that can be played separately.
Macro section 1: three parts related to the traditional hymn New Britain, known as Amazing Grace from the first verse; intro, A pentatonic part, and B, tonal part.
Macro section 2: two parts with a lively tempo; C, a mixolydian song, transition, D, a pentatonic song.
